Over 50 Years Of Service

Since 1967, we have helped the Contra Costa community as a non-profit, volunteer-run service organization. With over 400 members our work touches many lives, from infants to aging adults, by helping to create and fund programs that meet unmet community needs. Our work is primarily funded by our Giving Partners Thrift Shop in downtown Lafayette, California. Other funding sources include grants, corporate donations, and individual donations.

Our longest running philanthropic program, TeleCare, was founded in 1971. Our newest program, Preschool R.E.A.D., began in 2023. Throughout our 50 years as an organization, we have evolved our programs to meet the needs of our community.
