SCHOLARSHIPS

Our scholarships help students achieve their educational goals.
Last year, Diablo Valley Giving Partners awarded $300,000 to 73 young adults. We have awarded over $3 MILLION to local students since inception.
Our scholarship program considers financial need, school and community activities, and academic achievement. Applicants must be residents of Contra Costa County. Recipients may not be members of Diablo Valley Giving Partners, including Volunteens, or a member’s relative.
We award scholarships to:
Graduating high school seniors applying to a four-year college/university or a career technical educational program.
Community college students transferring with junior-level status to four-year colleges/universities.
Students participating in Contra Costa County’s Foster and Kinship Youth programs applying to four-year colleges/universities, community colleges, or vocational training programs.
Adults returning to school after a gap in their education.

The six scholarships we offer are listed below. Each scholarship will have specific criteria, guidelines, and procedures for that scholarship for you to download to help guide you through your application. We encourage you to apply for more than one scholarship if you meet the qualifications. Applicants can receive only one scholarship regardless of the number of applications submitted. After you’ve reviewed the criteria for your chosen scholarship(s), click the blue button at the end of this page to start your application.
Note: the Return to School scholarship has a separate application and criteria.
